The very successful A Matter of Balance program, coordinated and taught by Greene County Medical Center’s public health nurses Laine Custer and Jill Juergensen, has a new class starting Monday, Jan. 16.
The class meets for two hours every Monday and Thursday, from 9 to 11 am, through Feb. 9 Classes will be held at Ever Greene Ridge at 1001 W. Washington St in Jefferson. The class fee is $25.
A Matter of Balance emphasizes practical strategies to manage falls; making changes to reduce the risk of falls at home; exercises to increase strength and balance; and goal setting for increased activity. This program session will mark the 10th offering and more than 75 Greene County area residents have taken advantage of this program.
